Sensational Home Staging was recently asked to restyle this Danville Living Room.  The homeowner had seen our staging and was wanting her Living Room to take on a more chic and sophisticated look that she had observed in our home staging projects.....she wanted it to be more "today" and lose the yesterday look and vibe.

This redesign was done on a budget....with lots of purchases at Home Goods, Pier 1 and Cost Plus.  The homeowner was able to sell the sofa and loveseat and use that to purchase the new sofa.  Other items...chairs, coffee table, side tables went to a local consignment store.  And a number of accessories have been repurposed in other less formal areas of the home.

When her family arrived for Thanksgiving.....they were amazed at the transformation!

Brick Fireplaces can be a Challenge....Paint it to Make the Fireplace and Room Fresh and Contemporary!

Many homes in Danville, Alamo and across Contra Costa County have fireplaces made of used brick.  While that may have been in vogue 20-30 years ago it makes rooms heavy, dark and seem small by today's standards.  

While providing home staging consultations I most often will recommend that the fireplace be painted...either the same as the wall color or 1-2 shades lighter/darker than the walls.  It gives the room an instant facelift...redesigning the space with added light, color and a contemporary vibe!
