Hi Kathy ~ when I looked at the "before" photo I was thinking ... oh I hope she could separate that big sofa into two loveseats .. and then saw that you DID it with great success by placing the small table and lamp in between them. Now the room makes so much sense for potential buyers -- no wonder this home SOLD in just a few days! Congrats on another staging success story!

Hi Kathy--I didn't realize that huge sofa was a sectional! I am so used to these ginormous one-piece sofas with chaises attached that I keep seeing here. . . Anyway, fantastic job. The room is so much more inviting and looks so much bigger. And it sold quickly--the best part about great staging. Hope you have a great 2012!
Kathy, now the room totally makes sense. My guess is that the sellers like the room better with this layout while they lived there and I bet that this arrangement never occurred to them. Large pieces, like that red sofa, just eat equity and you created the perfect solution.
Maureen....."Big Red" was even BIGGER....as they had already moved out the "corner" and were offering to bring it back. I declined....and they could not grasp what I was going to do til they saw it and LOVED the look.

Kathy - I love the way you broke up the furniture and opened up the space. As usual you did a fantastic job and staging an occupied home is always a challenge, especially using what the buyer has, but you always make it look great!
